Summary: | PT XYZ is a company engaged in the retail and fast-food industry, marketed through a network of stores managed by the company. In carrying out its business, there is a control function carried out by the Strategic Planning Department. The department has a business process for performance management by evaluating and overseeing the company's sales performance. The current condition of the performance management process still encounters challenges when processing large amounts of sales data, which is conducted periodically every week. This occurs due to the lack of identification of a system that fits the current Company's condition. Therefore, the design of a Sales Monitoring Dashboard system becomes one of the solutions offered for the existing issues. This dashboard system is capable of reducing the repetitive sales data evaluation process every week and also provides more structured information than before, thus assisting the company in conducting evaluations and supporting decision-making.
This study aims to design a dashboard system that has metrics aligned with the company's strategy and user needs. The dashboard design method employs a user-centric design approach, focusing on four main aspects: data design, metrics determination, user access, and visualization. The design process includes stages of needs identification, planning and analysis, design, testing and evaluation, as well as implementation. However, the implementation stage is not carried out in this research. User needs identification becomes a crucial point in dashboard design, as it utilizes a user-centric design approach. There are two user needs identifications conducted, content needs and dashboard functional needs. The prototype results are verified against functional needs and validated against the content to determine the feasibility of the prototype. The final dashboard design show several improvement impacts such as the use of disaggregated data sources, elimination of redundant processes, instant data processing, and the use of standardized visualizations.
