Through the metaverse, the preservation of heritage buildings takes a new perspective by not only conserving the physical structures but also capturing their historical significance as digital assets. The design process is structured into three key stages: (1) Pre-production, which entails the acquisition of data from LiDAR, UAV, blueprints, and location photos; (2) Production, involving the meticulous creation of 3D asset modeling through the utilization of Sketchup and Blender; (3) Postproduction, where the metaverse platform is developed using the powerful Unreal Engine for the metaverse local network, and the VR-based metaverse online network relies on spatial.io, reflecting its current limitations. This workflow ensures efficiency while preserving interior asset accuracy and detail, effectively bridging the gap between the metaverse local and online platforms, which are yet to be fully supported. text
