The phenomenon of increasing urban temperatures caused by urban growth and urbanization significantly indicates a decrease in the quality of the urban thermal environment. These conditions will affect the comfort of walking. This is indicated by the differences in the level of performance and activity of pedestrians on Jl. Braga and Jl. RE. Martadinata Bandung City with a walking score of 90-100 which is also known as a walker's paradise. This difference is the basis for the assumption that thermal comfort is one of the influencing factors and must be considered in the calculation of walkability, especially by using the walking score index. This assumption will be seen through the relationship between thermal comfort and pedestrian behavior. This study aims to identify the characteristics of streetscape elements on Jln. Based on aspects of pedestrian needs, Braga and RE.Martadinata will then calculate the thermal comfort index (PET). Next, conduct a questionnaire on respondents to find out perceptions and references to thermal comfort and how pedestrian behavior patterns are. This study showed that the average value of PET at the study site was 35.34 0C, this condition indicated a warm thermal perception with a moderate physiological level of heat stress. This condition refers to the level of heat exposure that causes discomfort or stress to the human body. The thermal acceptance felt by this respondent has a relationship with the intensity of walking, namely how long a person claims to walk and the distance that a person can walk as shown by the results of the Chi-square test (Asymp.Sig <0.05). It can be interpreted that outdoor thermal comfort is related to pedestrian behavior, and thermal comfort is one of the factors that should be considered in the walkability calculation, especially when using the walking score index. text
