Summary: | Indonesian traditional Fabrics are a cultural heritage that has made
Indonesia proud and deserves to be preserved and maintained because it is an
Indonesian cultural identity that is rich in meaning in colors and patterns, also
reflects cultural values from various places in the country. The introduction of
Indonesian traditional fabrics should be done early on to instill a sense of love and
pride for Indonesia's cultural heritage. The younger generation, including
elementary school age children, are the guardians so that cultural heritage is not
lost in the future. However, elementary school children's knowledge of Indonesian
Traditional Fabrics is still limited. Limited knowledge of Indonesian traditional cloth
in elementary school children must be overcome. The source of the books available
in elementary schools (formal education) regarding fabric mostly use text with a
few pictures, so that elementary school children quickly get bored and are less
interested in reading. This design aims to help teachers and parents introduce and
bring the interest of elementary school children aged 6-12 years in traditional
Indonesian fabrics in a fun way, namely interactive activities on each sheet. The
results of the design are in the form of demonstration sheets to help teachers
introduce a variety of Indonesian traditional fabrics to children aged 6-12 years
which are accompanied by interactive learning activities, so that children not only
read, but take advantage of various activities to stimulate curiosity and children
can learning Indonesian traditional fabrics while exploring and creating. |
