Description
Summary:Electricity consumption continued to increase along with population growth and infrastructure development. However, the majority of energy consumption was still based on fossil fuels. Commercial and residential buildings were among the main contributors to electricity consumption, accounting for 63.04% of the total users. Faced with these challenges, the use of renewable energy, particularly solar energy, which had the greatest potential in Indonesia, provided sustainable energy. Solar energy was utilized using solar panels that could be installed on buildings. The aim of this research was to conduct the selection of solar panel technology by integrating the AHP and PROMETHEE methods. Additionally, the criteria were also integrated to identify the appropriate ones. The research criteria were based on relevant literature studies and were selected by experts. The selection of solar panels was carried out by integrating the AHP method to assign weights to the criteria, and the PROMETHEE method was used for the ranking process. The research results indicated that solar panels with advantages in cost and energy generation-to-demand ratio were the top choice. Furthermore, sensitivity analysis results demonstrated the model's stability in making technology selections.
