Description
Summary:In recent years, the world of e-sports has seen tremendous growth. One of the prominent games in this domain is Dota 2, a real-time strategy (RTS) game of the MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) genre. A crucial strategic aspect in Dota 2 is the Drafting phase. The Drafting phase involves both teams picking and banning Hero characters that play a crucial role in the course of the game. In this Final Project, a mathematical model of the Drafting phase will be developed, and the search for the best moves will be conducted based on influential factors during the Drafting phase, such as team preferences, META Heroes, Hero synergies and counters, Hero positions, and Hero roles. The mathematical model is constructed using concepts from game theory, a branch of mathematics that analyzes strategic interactions among rational decision-makers. Game theory studies how interactions between multiple parties influence decision-making. The mathematical model of the Drafting phase is constructed based on both static and dynamic game concepts, and the optimal solution from this model will be sought to obtain insights into the best moves that a team can make during the Drafting phase. In the model development, game data such as hero statistics and match results will be utilized.
