The tin plant (Ficus carica L.) is a plant that is rich in benefits. One of them is the fruit produced. Tin fruit is a fruit that is rich in antioxidants where these compounds can ward off free radicals in the body and can prevent the growth of cancer cells. In addition, the sweet and fresh fruit ca...

One of them is the fruit produced. Tin fruit is a fruit that is rich in antioxidants where these compounds can ward off free radicals in the body and can prevent the growth of cancer cells. In addition, the sweet and fresh fruit can also be utilized as a food source. The richness of the benefits contained in tin fruit will certainly make the fruit sell well in the market. To meet the market demand, it is necessary to optimize tin plant propagation. One of the most promising methods is tissue culture using the TIS-RITA® bioreactor. Through this method, tin plant propagation can be achieved in large quantities in a short time. This study aims to determine and compare the percentage value of biomass increase, multiplication rate value, height increase rate value, medium bioconversion value including pH, sucrose consumption, and medium conductivity, mass balance, and survivability rate value of tin explants in three medium immersion treatments on explants namely continuous immersion, immersion for 20 minutes every 6 hours, and immersion for 30 minutes every 6 hours. The results showed that tin explants soaked using the TIS-RITA® bioreactor for 20 minutes every 6 hours produced the highest percentage of biomass increase, multiplication rate , and survivability rate with values of 111.48%, 7 new shoots/explant, and 88.89%, respectively. The explant height growth rate was actually obtained in continuous immersion at 0.56 mm/day. However, continuous immersion resulted in the lowest survivability rate of 72.73% and seedlings that were not fresh, so it can be concluded that the treatment of immersion explants with 20 minutes of immersion every 6 hours is better for providing seedlings. text
