Description
Summary:Voltage normalization is a very important aspect of electricity system management to ensure the provision of stable and reliable electrical energy. As a leading electricity provider company in Indonesia, PT PLN (Persero) faces challenges in normalizing the power line voltage in the 275 kV Nagan Raya - Sigli T/L project. This project is in the working area of PT PLN (Persero) UIP SBU, a unit that specifically focuses on electricity construction in Aceh Province and North Sumatra Province. With the Normalization of T / L 275 kV Nagan Raya - Sigli activities, it resulted in the transfer of conductors on Tower 105, which previously entered the conductor towards GI Sigli and now must be moved towards GITET Sigli. This conductor transfer causes a change in the tower angle of 41º3'56" where the change in angle can potentially damage the tower structure and the strength of the tower foundation, which can make the tower collapse and can interfere with the reliability of the electricity system and negatively affect the level of customer satisfaction. Currently, Tower 105 is still using Tower Type BB+12 with a BB class foundation. However, the State Electricity Company Standard (SPLN) stipulates that BB towers can only withstand angles up to 0º-10º. Therefore, special measures are needed to address this issue in order to maintain the reliability of electricity supply. In this research, strategic decision-making is a very important step in solving the problem at hand. The Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method was used as an approach to determine the best solution. Through internal analysis and interviews conducted with Subject Matter Experts as well as internal and external stakeholders of PT PLN (Persero) UIP SBU, there are four objective criteria that have been determined, namely the cost of work to carry out the work, the level of ease of implementation that must be done to complete the work to completion, the duration of work to complete the work, and the quality of work in accordance with the plan. After analyzing the data from the Subject Matter Experts and related engineering/planning fields, it was identified that there are three alternatives that are worth considering: The first alternative is to use new land by building a new tower and foundation. The second alternative is to maintain the existing land by dismantling the old foundation and tower and rebuilding the new foundation and tower. The third alternative is to continue using the existing land by strengthening the existing tower and foundation. In the analysis using the AHP method, Alternative 1, which is using new land, was selected as the best choice with a value of 57% followed by Alternative 3 Existing Land (Existing Tower Strengthening + Existing Foundation Strengthening) with a value of 24% and the last choice Alternative 2 Existing Land (New Foundation + New Tower) with a value of 19%. This decision is expected to overcome the problems associated with tower and foundation angles caused by conductor removal, as well as maintain the reliability of electricity supply and improve customer satisfaction.
