INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/76558 River water is an important source of life for living things, especially humans. Good river water quality is needed for humans. Therefore, monitoring river water quality is very important to prevent the adverse effects of polluted river water. However, water quality monitoring is still constrained because most rivers are located in remote areas. With the help of satellite data transmission, this problem can be solved. This research proposes a prototype of river water quality monitoring in the form of an automatic ship with data transmission using the Mikrosat satellite system. This system will be simulated using SDR (Software Defined Radio) system and using artificial antenna for data transmission. The MicroSat satellite in this research will use the reference of the LAPAN A3 satellite. This research successfully simulates a remote water quality monitoring system using a MicroSat on a USRP device. A ship-shaped water quality prototype equipped with sensors has been successfully made. The ship can move automatically and the sensor can monitor water quality. To transmit data on this system. A microstrip antenna with a square patch operating at a frequency of 2.22 GHz with a gain of 4.84 dB has been designed. The water quality data collected on the ship was successfully sent to the satellite and then forwarded to the ground station. Once received, the data can be accessed and displayed on an artificial website. Overall, this research successfully implemented a river water quality monitoring system by utilizing the Microsat satellite and SDR. Thus, it is hoped that this system can be a solution in monitoring river water quality in remote areas that are difficult to access. text |
