Chronic kidney diseases (CKD) is a health issue that has a broad impact over the world including Indonesia. West Java is the second most populated province with people diagnosed with CKD. Anemia plays a role in increasing morbidity and mortality, also the quality of life in patients with hemodialysis. the decrease of hemoglobin levels in a patient with CKD has been shown to be associated with impairment of the patient's quality of life, energy decline, neurocognitive impairment, decrease in exercise capacity, and increase in mortality. Erythropoietin therapy has been shown to be significantly affected in increasing levels of hemoglobin. This study aims to identify an overview of the effect of erythropoietin administration towards the patient's quality of life at RSUP Dr. Hasan Sadikin Bandung. This study uses a descriptive observational design with a cross-sectional design and uses a total sampling method for the sampling of CKD patients with hemodialysis who met the inclusion criteria. The data collection instrument used is questionnaire KDQOL-SF 36 consisting of three domains that have been tested for validity and reliability. the analysis of the patient's quality of life-based on the sociodemographic characteristics of the research subjects using one-way ANOVA. Analysis of factors that influence the quality of life was performed using the Spearman test and logistic regression. Result showed scores for the kidney disease domain are 80,26 ± 13,92, physical health is 59,47 ± 18,51, mental health is 69,21 ± 15,34 and total score of quality of life is 74,40 ± 11,86 which means quality of life is good. Based on bivariate and multivariate analyses, comorbid variables are clinical factors that show a meaningful relationship to patient quality of life (p-value < 0,05).
