INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/76635 Bengkalis Island is one of the regencies whose territory is in the east of Sumatra Island. This island, which is directly opposite the Malacca Strait, has an area of 938.40 km2 with peat soil types. This island, which is located in the open ocean, is an island that is very prone to abrasion. Apart from abrasion, the mangrove ecosystem cannot develop. In this problem, it is necessary to have strategies, actions, and directions to resolve the causes and effects that arise significantly from coastal abrasion every year. With an ecological design, waterfront revitalization is an indicator and solution in the formation of ecological spaces that utilize the water's edge by paying attention to sustainability and balancing the existing ecosystem around the design site. In addition to overcoming this phenomenon, this design is also carried out to encourage the community's economy by making it an ecotourism area. This design was carried out by optimizing the utilization of the waterfront space of the Raja Kecik beach in West Muntai Village according to its potential and problems. For this reason, this design was carried out by collecting data using the LaGro method (2007) based on physical attributes, biological attributes, and cultural attributes, the output of which will be analyzed by displaying potential constraints that result in the design being designed according to the environmental conditions around Rajak Kecik Beach and Muntai Barat Village. After that, it was responded to with a Waterfront Revitalization and ecotourism approach to find out what indicators would be applied to the design. With that in mind, there are 8 zones in the design output, each zone directs the restoration of mangrove forests. To provide space, there are three aspects in the design, namely the environmental aspect where the design focuses on restoring mangrove forests, the social aspect of providing beach recreation facilities, and the economic aspect of extending retention of business expansion, with Cottage Development Arrangements, creating the impression that my mangroves are my leaning place. text
