Summary:Mental health has been one of the concerns that have occurred in society for many years. The disease still has an unfavorable stigma and low awareness in society. According to data from the Ministry of Health of the Republic Indonesia in 2020, the population aged 15-24 years or the yout group has the highest percentage at 6% who experience mental disorders from other types of diseases. These area many factors that cause a person, especially adolescents, to be affected by this mental disorder with a variety of different symptoms. According to DSM-V and PPDGJ III, the types of mental disorders that are most commonly suffered by adolescents area in the category of mood disorders, such as depression, anxiety, bipolar and so on, which continue to increase every year. However, this increase in percentage has not been matched by adequate facilities in Indonesia, one of which is the city of Bandung, which still has the lowest percentage of facilities for mental disorders in West Java. This thesis will focus on designing mental health facilities for adolescents in the city of Bandung, using a patient-centered approach that will study the needs, convenience, and how processes can accelerate healing in patients. Summarized in a design criteria that becomes a reference in the design process to create a positive environment for patients who are ready to return being part of society. The results of the design is a rehabilitation facility with the concept of “living in a care facility, living at home”, focus on three big concept ideas, non institutional layout, nature, and security and privacy, the design implementation a comfortable “home” atmosphere for patients during their treatment process.
