This change is part of the city development process and has an impact on changes in user activity patterns and functions. The purpose of this research is to assess the functional performance of Sumedang Square after it was revitalized using the Post Occupancy Evaluation (POE) approach. To what extent can the square space be used for the activities and organization of the built space. This study used a variety of data collection methods, including field observations, interviews, literature, and surveys. In this study, the researcher conducted a spatial analysis based on the assistance of the physical aspects of the condition, and a survey based on the user's assessment of activities in Sumedang Square. Functional performance assessment is emphasized on activities that occur in Sumedang Square through field observations and user assessments through a questionnaire containing a Likert attitude scale. The results of this study indicate that although the functional performance of Sumedang Square after being revitalized as a whole is quite optimal, there is still room for development, especially in landscape aspects that need to be adapted to user needs. This research produces recommendations for the development of Sumedang Square as a high-quality public open space that can accommodate various user activities. text |
