Summary:Ecotourism now emerging as one of the tourism developments that aims to preserve the environment and local cultural diversity by attracting tourists and providing a source of income to local communities without destroying the environment. The research was conducted in the Hutan Daerah Kiarapayung (HDK), Sindangsari Village, Sukasari District, Sumedang. At the ecotourism planning stage, there are potential identification and assessment stages with the aim of knowing the development of sustainable ecotourism. Studies related to the identification of ecotourism potential are important things to do as material for consideration in making a decision related to the planning and development of a natural tourism object. This study aims to identify ecotourism potential in the HDK area, determine the feasibility index and strategies for developing ecotourism potential in the HDK area. Analysis of research data used (1) the scoring method and interpretation of ADO-ODTWA data to assess the level of potential and the level of feasibility of the Kiarapayung Area Forest ecotourism potential; (2) SWOT analysis to formulate development strategy; (3) QSPM analysis for determining priorities and strategies for developing HDK ecotourism potential. The results showed that HDK is considered potential to be used as a tourist with a feasibility value index of 75.56%. There are 14 alternative strategies for developing the ecotourism of HDK and there are three main strategies that can be selected for the development the ecotourism of the HDK.
