The probability distribution and data point load index (PLI), uniaxial
compressive strength (UCS), and Young's modulus (E), play an important role
in the numerical analysis of slope and tunnel stability with finite element method.
However, obtaining this type of probability distribution and such data takes a
relatively long time. Therefore, it is necessary to fit the distribution and
determination of UCS and PLI correlation as well as correlation E and UCS of
intact rocks in Indonesia to determine reference data and be input in the initial
numerical analysis with the finite element method. To determine the type of
probability distribution, the correlation of PLI and UCS, and the correlation of
E and UCS, data from the Geomechanics and Mining Equipment Laboratory of
FTTM-ITB for 2019 - 2023 were used with 5, amounts out of data.
The fitting of the probability distributions of PLI, UCS, and Young's modulus is
performed by the Kolmogorov-Smirnov (K-S) method. The distribution types
compared are uniform, triangular, gamma, beta, normal, log-normal, and
exponential distributions. The result of the probability distribution fitting is that
PLI data is broadly log-normally distributed, UCS data is broadly log-normal
distributed, and E data is broadly gamma distributed.
The correlation of UCS and PLI in Indonesia has a linear correlation with a
coefficient of 6.8 to 20.7 with an R squared of 0.57 to 0.84 according to the rock
type. The correlation of E and UCS in Indonesia has a linear correlation with a
coefficient of 103 to 241 with an R squared of 0.84 to 0.94 according to the rock
type. |
