Description
Summary:Currently, there are lots of researches that show the decline of Indonesian undergraduate students’ mental health. However, the students often hesitate to seek for professional help. Therefore, an application to help students understand their mental health before meeting professional counselor can be designed. Students can understand their mental health by filling DASS-21 test. From said test, students can receive recommendation to seek for professional help along with the information about where to get professional help. Students can also express their own emotions with art making. Other than to help students express their emotions, art also has therapeutic aspects that can help increase their mental health. The application is cross-platform for web and mobile, using Expo framework, Sequelize as ORM, and backend framework using Express, with a methodology that imitates Scrum. After the application is developed, tests are conducted with 25 participants for both platforms using User Experience Questionnaire. The tests show that the pragmatic quality and hedonic quality on web are both excellent, while on mobile the pragmatic quality is above average and the hedonic quality is excellent. A test for the effectiveness of the art activities are also conducted, and the therapeutic art activity can indeed make users’ emotions better.
