As a result, the demand to transform the global food system is increasingly urgent, accompanied by commitments from various sectors worldwide. Bandung, as the first city in Indonesia to sign The Milan Urban Food Policy Pact, demonstrates its commitment to becoming a city with a sustainable food resilience system. Therefore, it is intriguing to explore how Bandung's commitments are currently reflected through the indicators within the Bandung City Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD) related to the impact of the food system on the community over a specific period. This research identifies the local food system conditions in the Binong sub-district through a questionnaire and then traces the causal mechanism between the findings and the food system-related policies in Bandung using process tracing (PT). PT is an approach used to assess the impact of selected interventions based on qualitative data. The analysis reveals a causal mechanism between the findings and the city-level policies, indicating that the indicators and their derivatives in Bandung's planning documents are not yet optimal for its local food system. text
