Employees personality is one of the factors that contributes to their performance. In recent times, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is one of the most popular and commonly used personality measurement instruments in organizational settings, especially in the recruitment process. The general intent of use of the MBTI is to fit the individual to the job and the environment. However, as a personality measurement instrument, the MBTI is often critiqued as an incomplete derivation of Jung’s psychological type theory and flawed within its psychometric realms. This condition may weaken MBTI’s validity of use to predict employees’ performance in the organization. This study investigates the differences of administrative employees’ job performance, comprised of task and contextual performance, based on their MBTI personality temperament. Findings from quantitative methodologies presents that there are no statistically significant differences in the administrative employees’ job performance among the MBTI temperament groups. The highest to lowest performing MBTI temperament groups for administrative job found in this study are the Idealists, Traditionalists, Experiencers, and Conceptualizers. text
