Summary:In this modern era, very sophisticated technology causes human life in their daily lives that cannot be separated from technology. One such technology is the Smart Parking System. The Smart Parking System is a system designed to make it easier for users to solve various problems in the parking system, such as the detection system for parking availability which is the main topic of this research. This intelligent parking system has often become a necessity as a facility for parking areas in several places, especially the parking areas of the latest supermarkets. Unfortunately, the system for detecting the availability of parking areas has not been found to have an implementation in open parking areas. Thus, it is necessary to design a parking area detection system that can be used in open parking areas. The YOLO algorithm is an algorithm used to detect objects in computer vision. The YOLO algorithm can produce a model that can be used to assist a program in performing object detection for a given image. In this way, research on model development and design of a system for detecting the status of parking availability using the YOLO algorithm was carried out. This research resulted in a YOLO model and a prototype of a parking lot detection system. The resulting YOLO model will assist the parking lot detection system in detecting objects and analyzing the availability of parking spaces in the parking area.
