| Summary: | Ecotourism is part of tourism development which is considered capable of realizing sustainable tourism. The rise of infrastructure development which is considered part of tourism development needs special attention, especially if the development is carried out in natural areas that have their vulnerability to the sustainability of their environmental ecosystem. Ecotourism is a form of natural tourism travel that contains knowledge of environmental preservation and encourages conservation. The purpose of this paper is to identify and analyze the factors that support the formulation of a community-based ecotourism development model in support of tourism sustainability in the Situ Bagendit Tourism Area (KWSB). The method used is descriptive qualitative using interviews, observation, and documentation studies, using Miles and Huberman's data analysis. The results of this study are a community-based ecotourism development model in the Situ Bagendit Tourism Area. This model tries to illustrate the importance of exploring the potentials and obstacles that exist in tourist areas in terms of tourism components, governance, and ecotourism potential. Government policies, community participation, partnerships, university support, promotion and marketing, and mentoring are the solutions offered. This development hopes that the community can play a role in the entire ecotourism development process and benefit from ecotourism development. |
