Description
Summary:The galaxy cluster is the largest gravitational bound structure in the universe. By studying galaxy clusters, the dynamics and structure of the universe on a large scale can be studied. In this Final Assignment, the determination of the physical parameters of Abell 1913 galaxy cluster are discussed. The physical parameters obtained are redshift, distance, R200, M200, and membership of this galaxy cluster. Additionally, Dressler’s projected density profile are also created. There are several methods that used in data processing. The main method used is shifting gapper which is done by dividing candidates in multiple bins by projected radius, then the members are selected by the gap of the velocity values that have been sorted in each bin. After processing the data, it is found that Abell 1913 has redshift of 0.05324, luminosity distance of 246.4 Mpc, R200 of 1.46 Mpc, 97 cluster members, and M200 of 3.4 × 1014M?.
