Description
Summary:The recruitment process is a critical phase in human resource management within an organization, aiming to find the most suitable individuals for the required positions. According to the Society of Human Resource Management (2022), the recruitment process sometimes takes a relatively long time, ranging from 32 to 49 days. One expensive stage of the recruitment process is the interview process. Apart from its high costs, online interview processes have limitations in assessing candidates' interpersonal skills displayed through gestures and facial expressions. This paper aims to address these issues by employing facial recognition technology through the design and implementation of an interaction interface for a web-based job interview application named AIVue. In this paper, the focus is on developing an application interface based on high-fidelity design created using the User-Centered Design (UCD) method. The selection of UCD as the design approach for the AIVue application interface takes into account various benefits, one of which is enhancing user experience. The application interface was tested through two iterations involving five participants as end users. The first test resulted in a 100% Task Success score, an 86 score for the System Usability Scale (SUS) metric, and a 6.625 score for the Single Ease Question (SEQ) metric. Meanwhile, the second test achieved a 100% Task Success score. Based on the two conducted tests, it is indicated that the AIVue application interface developed with the UCD approach received positive evaluations and was able to fulfill the needs of end users.
