Furniture workers have the potential to experience CTS due to their work activities that involve repetitive movements, exposure to vibrations from the machines used for work, and poor posture when working. Apart from occupational factors, personal factors or worker characteristics can also be a risk factor for causing CTS in workers. Therefore, the variables used in this study are work factors and personal factors of workers. The type of research conducted was analytic observation with a cross-sectional approach to determine the influence of work and personal factors on workers with CTS complaints owned by furniture makers in the Manongkoki Village. The total sample of 80 people was selected by proportional random sampling technique. Data were obtained from respondents using a questionnaire, the Phalen Test, direct observation of worker activities, and measuring vibration intensity using the Human Vibration Meter. Data were analyzed using SPSS with Odds Ratio, ChiSquare, Fisher Exact, and Logistic Regression tests. A total of 51 respondents who had CTS complaints were found based on the Phalen Test and the BCTQ-SSS (Boston Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Symptoms Severity Scale) Questionnaire. The results of the analysis showed that the variable duration of work (OR: 22.9; p=0.000), repetitive hand movements (OR: 4.14; p=0.036), awkward hand posture (OR: 15.71; p=0.000), and Exposure Action Value of vibration (OR: 3.20; p=0.028) is a risk factor and has a significant effect on the incidence of CTS complaints on furniture workers in Manongkoki Village. In this study, the variables of work duration and awkward hand posture dominate the incidence of CTS complaints. Screening on health and work environment is expected to be carried out on informal workers such as furniture makers in the Manongkoki Village and routine measurements of arm-hand vibration exposure are carried out on furniture workers in the Manongkoki Sub-District. Implementation of prevention of occupational diseases and accidents to the Safety and Health Management System for informal workers also needs to be done so that the welfare and productivity of workers can be maintained. text
