Summary: | In this research, an evaluation method called Multichannel Analysis of Surface
Waves (MASW) is utilized, which is a non-destructive seismic wave analysis
method used to assess the physical properties of subsurface materials. This method
can determine the relationship between shear wave velocity and the soil layer
structure. In the initial stage, a literature study is conducted to learn about the
MASW method itself, followed by data processing after obtaining field data. There
are three main procedures in MASW: data acquisition, dispersion analysis, and
inversion. The main focus of the study is to compare dispersion curves for the
fundamental mode both theoretically and experimentally. The process of analyzing
the data will employ the MASWaves source code as well as MATLAB. The final
data will consist of profiles of shear wave velocity versus depth, which will later be
compared with a table of soil layer structures to determine the types of rocks and
soils at each depth. Through the data processing process, a shear wave velocity
value of 445 m/s was obtained for a depth of 30 meters. When compared with the
soil layer classification table, it can be determined that the measurement location
falls into class C, which comprises dense soil and soft rock. |
