Summary: | Startup Center Building in BSD City is a communal building designed to provide
office and workspace solutions for the rapid growth of startups in Bekasi City and
its surrounding area. The function of this building as a communal space allows for
the use of Reducible Live Load. Geotechnical data that was used as design reference
causes the building to have SE Site Class. The building functions as an office
complex causes the building to have IV Risk Category. Based on those two factors,
the building is determined to have D Seismic Design Category. The Special
Moment Resisting Frame was then chosen as its structural system to accommodate
efficient structural design by factoring its Response Spectrum. The building is
designed using a Redundancy Factor of 1.0 to further improve its design efficiency.
The building is composed of three towers of different heights and one podium that
acts as a basement. The building is modeled separately for each of its towers. The
base reactions at the bottom of the towers were then transferred to the podium using
the Two-Stage Analysis procedure. The tower structure utilizes Response Spectrum
Analysis while the podium structure utilizes Equivalent Lateral Forces for their
respective seismic design procedure. The building codes that were used as design
reference are SNI 1726:2019, SNI 1727:2020, SNI 2847:2019, ASCE 7-16, ACI
318-14, and FEMA 451-B. The structural elements that were designed are beam,
column, slab, and drop panel.
