Summary: | Financial literacy is an individual's ability to understand and manage their finances. A wide gap exists between the level of financial inclusion and financial literacy in Indonesia. Financial literacy will affect individual prosperity. One of the causes for a low level of financial literacy is an imbalance between the level of awareness of financial management and attitude. The objective of this research is to evaluate the level of financial literacy among Gen Z in Indonesia. A quantitative approach was used for this study, consisting of a structured questionnaire made with google forms was distributed to 167 respondents in Indonesia digitally. It was revealed that the level of financial literacy affects their financial management behavior and attitude, and they prefer to learn money management from social media; it also shows that they already have a middle-to- good financial literacy level. This study only focuses on Gen Z's financial behavior and attitude regardless of their generation, to get more diversified results of financial literacy impact, it requires more generations for the sample, such as the millennials or baby boomers. |
