Description
Summary:Soil damage can cause a decrease in the function of conservation forests as a place to preserve plant diversity. Encroachment is a human activity that can cause soil damage due to land degradation. This phenomenon occurs in the Mount Pancar Natural Tourism Park (TWA) area, Kab. Bogor, West Java, to be precise in the Berih Block and the Asia Block. Encroachment in the Berih Block is still difficult to control, while in the Asia Block it has been successfully controlled, so this study was conducted to determine the differences in soil damage parameters between the two blocks, so that the status of soil damage and efforts to control the damage can be determined. This study uses the critical threshold on the standard criteria for soil damage in Government Regulation no. 150 of 2000 which has been modified to determine the status of soil parameters in both areas. The results showed that the composition of the sand fraction and pH (H2O) in the Berih Block soil was damaged, while the Asia Block soil was not damaged. The damage status of the Berih Block is R.II-b,f,d,v,p,a,e,r while the Asia Block has the status of R.Ib, d,v,p,e,r. Efforts to control damaged soil parameters can be done by adding sand and organic matter, liming with the addition of dolomite lime, loosening, and improving soil drainage.
