INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/77544 The influence of the input air velocity distribution can provide an overview of the operating room airflow pattern. Evaluating the airflow pattern in the room is important to ensure that the room air quality is good and meets the predetermined standards. Operating room air quality is important to assess because it is related to surgical wound infection (ILO) which is dangerous for patients. Laminar airflow system (LAF) is difficult to obtain in real conditions in the operating room, hence the term unidirectional flow. Because testing airflow patterns directly in the operating room is feared to pollute the cleanliness of the room, testing was carried out using a miniature operating room. A general operating room with dimensions of 7 ???? ???? 6 ???? ???? 3 ???? and an air exchange of 25 ACH was miniaturised to a scale of 1/5.83. Visualisation of airflow patterns is obtained by injecting materials that can be seen by the eye with smoke in the gas fluid. Based on the test results on the miniature operating room, it was found that propylene glycol smoke particles supported by lighting using a 532 nm (green) laser have the ability to improve the clarity of the visualisation image of air movement in the room and reprocessed with the Contrast Limited Adaptive Histogram Equalization (CLAHE) method. The unidirectional airflow pattern is obtained in scheme 2, namely 60% thrust blower power and 100% suction blower power. Then it is also obtained that the relationship between the amount of blower power is directly proportional to the amount of air flow in the miniature.. text
