Conflict often appears because the boundary of an area territory is not clear. Same thing happens in customary land. Customary law still applied in the daily life of most Indonesians. Customary people have a strong rule in implying their law. So, the identification of the land boundary had to be done based on the customary law prevail. <br />

Ciptagelar is an area which has rich culture and use customary law in manages their daily citizen life. As an area which holds to the customary law, this area has specific rules in determining their customary land boundaries. One of the implementation of the customary rule at Ciptagelar is the semi-nomad life pattern. Those customary rules have social, culture, and law values which makes the environment values as the primary thing. <br />

To identify the customary land boundaries concept of the Kasepuhan Ciptagelar, the identification of the customary law is needed especially about etiquette and rules of the determination of the customary land boundaries. That identification process been done by collecting the information which supporting the identification process. Then, the information is compare with the etiquette and rules of the determination of the Indonesian land boundaries. <br />

From this research several dominant factor can be available on etiquette and rule of determining customary land boundaries of Kasepuhan Ciptagelar, such as movement pattern of government center of Kasepuhan Ciptagelar and the spreading pattern of the villages' location that included in Kasepuhan Ciptagelar. The use of etiquette and customary land boundaries rules of the Kasepuhan Ciptagelar has an environmental knowledge. But in the other side, Kasepuhan Ciptagelar's customary laws haven't cleared enough because of the overlaying of the laws and there is no validation in Kasepuhan Ciptagelar's boundaries nationally. <br />
