Summary: | PT X is a company engaged in the scope of exploration and exploitation in oil, gas, and
geothermal drilling. To maintain the value of assets owned by PT X, such as rig building
tools, maintenance activities are carried out. In planning the maintenance strategy to be
implemented, PT X is more inclined to adjust the maintenance strategy from the existing
maintenance strategy. This means that there is no plan to improve the maturity of the
maintenance strategy. In addition, there are no detailed and technical stages in planning
and selecting the right maintenance strategy for each tool. PT X needs to control its
maintenance strategy activities holistically so that the maintenance strategy to be
implemented remains effective.
This research aims to propose a Maintenance Strategy Selection (MSS) model so that the
selection of maintenance strategies on the main rig building tools is carried out holistically.
In the implementation of MSS, delphi method and AHP method are used. The delphi method
is carried out to identify criteria, namely by building initial criteria and adjusted to the
preferences and existing conditions of PT X. The AHP method is carried out in the process
of selecting alternative maintenance strategies. At the data processing stage, the MSS model
was entered into Super Decision software.
The resulting proposed priority order of maintenance strategies for the main tools that make
up the rig. The priority order of maintenance strategies for engine tools is preventive
maintenance strategy, followed by reactive maintenance, condition based maintenance,
predictive maintenance, opportunistic maintenance, then reliability centered maintenance.
The priority order of maintenance strategies for mud pump tools is preventive maintenance
strategy, followed by condition based maintenance, reactive maintenance, opportunistic
maintenance, predictive maintenance, then reliability centered maintenance. While the
priority order of maintenance strategies for BOP tools is preventive maintenance strategy,
followed by condition based maintenance, reactive maintenance, opportunistic
maintenance, predictive maintenance, then reliability centered maintenance. It also
produces a proposal for the planning stages and selection of maintenance strategies based
on the SKK Migas Work Guidelines.
