Description
Summary:Danone Indonesia is one of the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) companies that focuses on Packaged Drinking Water (AMDK) and Specialized Nutrition products. One of the divisions within Danone Indonesia is Cycles and Procurement (C&P), which handles the company's procurement business process. Within the C&P division, there is a Third Party Manufacturing (3PM) sub-division that oversees third-party manufacturers for several products. The 3PM sub-division at Danone Indonesia carries out various business processes involving the management of packaging material pricelists, including the calculation of standard material costs to be used in the production process and cost-saving calculations. This research discusses the design of a Business Intelligence (BI) system to assist the 3PM sub-division in monitoring and managing packaging material pricelists. The BI system design in this research uses the Dimensional Model Design Life Cycle (DMDLC) methodology and consists of four main stages: (1) requirement identification, (2) data warehouse design, (3) extract-transform-load (ETL) process, and (4) online analytical processing (OLAP) and dashboard design. This research results in a prototype BI system aided by software such as Microsoft Excel, MySQL, Pentaho Data Integration, and Microsoft Power BI. The designed BI system, based on the company's functional and non-functional requirements, is then verified to ensure that it meets these requirements. Additionally, a validation process is conducted to determine whether the designed system accurately represents the real system.
