One of the companies operating in the field of technology-based delivery and expedition services is Paxel. To address the issue of increased demand for delivery services, Paxel has developed an innovative program called "Agen Tanpa Modal" (Agent Without Capital), allowing individuals to become Paxel agents without needing to have a physical counter. Paxel aims to target the families of Paxel couriers to participate in the Agen Tanpa Modal program. However, Paxel is not yet aware of the level of humanware readiness to undergo the technological transition from participants of the Agen Tanpa Modal program. To determine the level of humanware readiness among participants of the Agen Tanpa Modal program, the measurement is conducted based on the generic model of technological sophistication developed by UNESCAP (1989). This model consists of six criteria, which are then broken down into 18 sub-criteria for measurement. The derivation of sub-criteria is done by referring to three competency models: the Spencer & Spencer competency model (1993), the Ohio University competency model (2017), and the U.S. Department of the Interior Business Center competency model (2022). The determination of the stages of technological transition refers to the reference "Degrees of Sophistication of Humanware" developed by UNESCAP (1989), which consists of seven stages of technological transition. From the measurement results, it is found that participants of the Agen Tanpa Modal program have reached stage IV of technological transition, which aligns with the technological transition stage experienced by Paxel in developing the Agen Tanpa Modal program. However, there are still three sub-criteria that have not met the level of humanware readiness, namely analytical thinking, conceptual thinking, and customer service orientation. To enhance the humanware readiness of participants in the Agen Tanpa Modal program, a proposed training program is designed, referencing the training design method developed by Noe (2022). text |
