One modern approach used is reservoir zone shifting to enhance well performance. This study focuses on the KX09-ST Gas well, which has been producing gas from the ZX-2 and ZX-3 zones. Despite experiencing production decline, a plan is being devised to shift production back to the UGX zone, which previously yielded successful oil production. The purpose of this study is to determine the best case to get timing of the zone shifting that results in the highest net gain by performing production forecast based on water cut sensitivity. The analysis is carried out through forecasting production profiles for the newly shifted zone well, comparing net gains across various sensitivity scenarios of water cut and timing. The results of this study obtained three scenarios for the zone shifting timing based on the water cut, then it was suggested to run a production logging tool to ensure the water cut in the new targeted zone. text |
