To understand subsurface conditions and determine tunnel locations, this research utilized geoelectric methods such as Electrical Resistivity Tomography (ERT), Vertical Electrical Sounding (VES), and borehole data. Four ERT survey lines, each approximately 440 meters in length with electrode spacing of around 10 meters, were conducted. The survey configurations employed included the Wenner-Schlumberger and Dipole-Dipole methods. The findings of this study revealed that the subsurface lithology consists of high-resistivity soil (>33.2 ?m) with a thickness of up to 40 meters. Wet clay layers exhibited low resistivity (<5 ?m), while weathered clay showed moderate resistivity values (5-33 ?m). The results from the ERT geophysical investigation, in conjunction with geotechnical data, can be utilized to determine the optimal location for the high-speed train tunnel between Jakarta to Bandung. The recommended tunnel location lies within the clay and mudstone layers, characterized by moderate to high resistivity values.
