This issue not only concerns the TPA management and local communities but also results in the emission of unpleasant odors, air pollution, and environmental contamination. PT Gaya Green Srikandi, a company engaged in oyster mushroom baglog production and oyster mushroom cultivation in Cianjur, faces a similar waste accumulation problem. With an estimated monthly waste potential of 64 tons mushroom substrate baglogs, addressing this issue promptly is essential to prevent potential identical impacts. The company's efforts to mitigate this problem involve selling the waste to potential customers, such as the Cooperative BUMDes PLTU Pelabuhan Ratu, to be used as a 5% co- firing fuel with coal for energy generation. However, this approach has led to new challenges, as the quality of the byproduct from PT Gaya Green Srikandi's mushroom substrate baglog waste does not consistently meet the customer's quality standards. This quality issue poses the risk of reduced power plant performance, inefficient transportation costs, and potential damage to power generation facilities. The objective of this research is to focus on proposing improvement concepts aimed at enhancing the quality of the byproducts derived from PT Gaya Green Srikandi's oyster mushroom substrate baglog waste. Using tools such as the House of Quality (HOQ) and pairwise comparison analysis, four priority customer requirements have been identified and mapped to eleven Critical-To-Quality (CTQ) indicators that need to be addressed to achieve the research's objective. These CTQs then serve as inputs for the selection of three functional concepts, refined using the Pugh matrix, resulting in eight proposed improvement measures. These improvement measures encompass eight pretreatment processes, along with targeted timeframes for the short, medium, and long terms. text |
