Summary: | Throughout social media, information is often spread widely and spontaneously. Due to the wide variety of information sources and lack of validation, hoaxes can spread easily. Without supervision, the spread of hoaxes can cause problems that are detrimental to the social media environment. Social Network Analysis (SNA) application can be a solution to overcome misinformation and disinformation and suppress hoaxes spread on social media. In this Final Project, a high fidelity prototype is designed to improve the 1TB SNA application with a user-centered design (UCD) approach and its implementation in the front-end subsystem. The UCD stages include determining the context of use, specifying user needs, designing solutions, and evaluating designs. From the analysis of data collected based on questionnaires to 373 respondents, various user problems, needs, and goals , as well as application functionality were successfully defined. The functionality provided includes Project Management, Crawler Management, Overview Information, Sentiment Information, Top Influencer Information, Hoax Information, Emotion Information, Network Information, and Compare Projects. Testing is done by measuring overall usability and measuring the achievement of goals defined: usability goals of effectiveness and utility and a user experience goal of helpfulness. The final results of the design testing received a SUS score of 92.5, a completion rate of 100%, and a SEQ score of 6.88. The application interaction design is considered very effective in helping to achieve the solution objectives with a minimum frequency of confusion and difficulty experienced. Therefore, it can be concluded that the design of the ITB SNA application has produced sufficient results in helping the comprehensive understanding of information on social media through the fulfillment of usability goals and user experience goals. |
