Description
Summary:This study focuses on the analysis of gas reservoir performance with water influx through a simple method, encompassing an analysis of several parameters, including reservoir pressure, bottom-hole pressure, water influx, and gas production. There are several approaches that can be applied in reservoir performance analysis include analog methods, Decline Curve Analysis, Material Balance, and reservoir simulation. Assessing reservoir performance has a significant impact on its development efforts, especially when involving economic assessments of its potential. Reservoir simulation method is one of the sophisticated techniques that commonly used nowadays, but in practice, their usage is coming with high cost and relatively high level of complexity. This study aims to analyze reservoir performance using a simpler approach, namely by utilizing the concepts of material balance and flow equation. Sensitivity analysis of the aquifer size is conducted to observe its impact on various observed parameters. Various parameters analyzed, such as reservoir pressure, bottom-hole pressure, water influx, and gas production, are interrelated parameters whose effects will be discussed in relation to differences in aquifer size.
