One of the potential reservoir formations and the main focus of this study is the Batu Raja Formation. The results of sensitivity analysis of well log data show that Lambda-Rho paramater is the most sensitive paramater to identify fluid in the rock pore. While the Mu-Rho paramater is a good paramater for identifying rock lithology. In this study, the Lambda-Rho and Mu-Rho paramater is used as a paramater in the Extended Elastic Impedance (EEI) inversion method by cross correlating Lambda-Rho and Mu-Rho against EEI, resulting in results with an EEI angle value (?) of -23° with a correlation value of 0.9869 for Lambda-Rho and 78° with a correlation value of 0.9982 for Mu-Rho. Then, the Ursenbach-Stewart (2008) two-term AVO equation is used to generate P-wave (Rp) and S-wave (Rs) reflectivity volumes. The Rp and Rs reflectivity volumes were then rotated according to the optimal angle of the EEI to create the EEI reflectivity volume. Then, the inversion of the REEI of selected elastic parameters was performed using the Sparse-Spike Linear Programming method. The Mu-Rho volume inversion results are transformed into porosity, so it is known that the zone with reservoir potential in the Batu Raja Formation is porous carbonate with Mu-Rho values below 40 GPa*g/cc with a porosity lower limit of 12%. Meanwhile, the hydrocarbon-filled zone is known to have a Lambda-Rho cut-off value of 44 GPa*g/cc and is distributed in the elevated area (carbonate build-up). text
