Description
Summary:Pekalongan is an area located in Central Java Province, Indonesia and is one of the areas on the north coast of Java that is experiencing high erosion and land subsidence problems. As a result of the erosion, the distance between residents' settlements and the coastline is getting closer and it becomes an area that is prone to tidal floods. From these problems the author plans a solution in the form of implementing a Permeable Structure with the concept of Building with Nature (BwN) which is expected to overcome these problems. Several hydrodynamic modeling scenarios and sediment transport were carried out at the study site using Delft3D software. Following the finished model, results show that applying a Permeable Structure at the study site can capture and deposit more sediment in the area under review.
