Description
Summary:Exploration conducted by PT Aneka Tambang in 1981 found various prospect areas of West Java which were categorized as low to high sulfidation epithermal types. One of the findings is the prospect of mineralization in the Arinem Region, Garut, West Java, which is the location of this study, with an area of 0.46 ????????2 which is 45 km from Garut city. The data in this study consisted of field data and seven boreholes belonging to PT ANTAM Tbk. To find out the geology and alteration of the method used is petrographic analysis, mineralographic analysis, ASD specTERRA analysis, then implicit 3D model reconstruction is carried out with Leapfrog Geo software. Using the implicit method in modeling can perform fast interpolation with Fast RBF (Radial Basis Function) technology. Physiographically, the study area is included in the Southern Mountain Zone of West Java. The Satyana model (2007) explains that the study area is in an order 2 - 3 structure caused by the Penganan Pamanukan - Cilacap Fault. The research area is included in the Undecomposed Old Volcano Rock Unit (Qtv) which is locally intruded by Pyroxene Andesite (Tpap) and Hornblende (Tpah). Based on petrographic analysis, the rock units in the study area consist of Andesite, Breccia Tuff, Lapili Tuff A, Tuff Breccia A, Tuff, Tuff Breccia B, Lapili Tuff B, and Tuff Breccia C. The zone of change in the research area consists of the chlorite, smectite, illite, calcite and kaolinite, illite, smectite zones. The minerals found were Pyrite, Chalcopyrite, Galena, and Sphalerit. The veins were found to have a northwest-southeast orientation. The structure of the study area consists of the Left Arinem Fault with a position of N191°E/75° and the Arinem Normal Fault with a position of N243°E/85°.
