City of Bandung’s declaration as “emerging creative city” as derived from its characteristics established the application of economic and creative city principles in the City of Bandung. The street dance community is one of the creative communities in the arts and culture field that exists and is developing in the City of Bandung by virtue of Rocket Crew Indonesia (RC) and Bridge Dance Academy (BDA) which are significant among the organizations in building the capacity of the street dance community through its programs and activities. Therefore, the role of those organizations in increasing the capacity of the street dance community in the City of Bandung, especially through leadership development and community organizing strategies which are related to creative city principles, is worth analyzing. This study uses a qualitative descriptive analysis method with a case study approach. The results of the analysis suggest that through these two strategies, the programs and activities of RC and BDA show conformity with government programs, the capacity and ability of RC and BDA to implement programs and activities can support the implementation of creative city, as well as flexibility and openness to cooperation and collaboration through those programs and activities exist. While there are still obstacles and limitations, the quality of the creative city implementation in the city of Bandung can be improved with several recommendations such as gathering information regarding government information facilities by organizations, promoting implementation of regulations by the government, and utilization of facilities from various parties by the community members.
