| Summary: | The Ijogading River riparian is part of the Sowan watershed, located in Jembrana Regency, Bali Province. The middle riparian area of the Ijogading River is one of the areas affected by anthropogenic disturbances. Disturbances in the area, such as inappropriate land use, plastic waste pollution, and declining riparian vegetation quality, can reduce riparian quality. A further decline in riparian quality can trigger floods and landslides. Based on these conditions, it is necessary to conduct research on land use in the Sowan watershed area and the middle riparian area of the Ijogading River, the level of canopy density, riparian quality, and the composition and diversity of vegetation types in the middle riparian area of the Ijogading River. Land use classification was carried out using the OSD (on screen digitizing) method on Landsat 8 OLI/TIRS images, classification of canopy density classes using the Forest Canopy Density (FCD) model on Landsat 8 OLI/TIRS image, riparian quality assessment referring to the QBR Index (Qualitat del Bosc de Ribera), and vegetation species diversity using vegetation analysis methods in the field. The results of land use in the Sowan watershed area are dominated by forests with an area of 8084,00 ha (38,83%), while the middle riparian area of the Ijogading River is dominated by gardens with an area of 42,59 ha (82,68%). The results of canopy density in the middle riparian area of the Ijogading River are dominated by the moderate FCD class, the results of moderate riparian quality (fair quality) dominate the middle riparian area of the Ijogading River with an area of 3,24 ha. The composition of vegetation types in the middle riparian area of the Ijogading River is dominated by the herbaceous class with a percentage of 44,59%, which has the highest diversity index (H') of 3,21.
