Summary: | The north coast of Java is an area prone to tidal flooding. Land subsidence is an important factor in overcoming tidal floods in Semarang, the government cannot simply prohibit people from stopping sucking up groundwater without providing alternative water source solutions. Therefore, the Government is overcoming the problem of tidal flooding by immediately completing the construction of the Semarang-Demak sea embankment toll road.
This final Project discusses hydrodynamic modeling and revetment design on the Semarang-Demak Toll Road Project. The scope of discussion of the Final Project includes data collection and processing, hydrodynamic and extreme wave modeling using MIKE 21 software, revetment design, and cost analysis of alternative armor designs. Hydrodynamic modeling includes wave, current and sediment modeling. The revetment design consists of crest elevation, armor weight, crest width, armor and bedding layer thickness, and revetment toe protection. The output of the revetment design is the dimensions of the revetment which will be used to calculate the armor volume so that cost analysis can be carried out.
The results of hydrodynamic modeling show that the amount of sedimentation at the planned revetment location is 2 – 4 mm/ 3 month. The designed revetment structure has a peak elevation height of 5.9 m above mean sea level and a peak width of 1.5 m with the alternative choice of A-jack armor. Then the width of the revetment foot protection is 4.5 m for the armor layer and 6.8 m for the bedding layer. The results of the cost analysis show that the cost of the A-jack armor and quarrystone used in the armor and bedding layer is IDR 43,000,000,000.00.
