Description
Summary:This dissertation investigates the social and health effects of the rivalry between two major foreign investors in Indonesia. These two foreign investors are China and Japan who have evidently been intensely competing over Indonesia’s resources and prime opportunities for mega projects. The Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Rail is an epitome of the two’s relentless competition (Nurcholis, 2022). In the world of International Business and Business Management, this dissertation will provide valuable insight to the after-effects of the Sino-Japanese rivalry in the energy sector of Indonesia towards the native and local communities. The rivalry aspect can be analyzed further to develop a deeper understanding on the after-effects towards local communities when corporations are engaged in fierce competition. Furthermore, the social and health impacts can be studied to develop appropriate measures in mitigating negative effects and risks.
