Magnon-polariton is an interaction between magnon and electromagnetic wave excitation. This interaction occur inside a cavity which can produce "two level system".
This work will discuss about planar cavity design with its implementation. We design
a cavity with split ring resonator (SRR) structure in frequency of 2,4 GHz using Ansys
HFSS trial version software. The simulation response of magnon-polariton calculated
using the same software with yttrium iron garnet (YIG) as the material. The designed
cavity will be implemented in a printed circuit board (PCB) material FR4. The Performance measurement of planar cavity and magnon-polariton response measured using a
Vector Network Analyzer (VNA). The planar cavity produced quality factor of 52,53 in
the frequency of 2,6 GHz. According to fitting result between experiment and magnonpolariton interaction model, we obtained anisotropic field, saturation magnetization,
and gyromagnetic ratio of YIG sample 33,1 Oe, 1720 G, and 2,8 MHz/Oe respectively.
The amount of anti-crossing can be decreased by using much thinner sample. Strongly
coupled magnon-photon arises with 230,4 MHz coupling constant in kittel mode and
171,7 MHz coupling constant in magnetostatic spin wave (MSSW) by using YIG with 1,02 mm thickness, 122,1 MHz coupling constant in kittel mode and 182 Mhz in
backward volume magnetostatic wave (BVMSW) by using YIG with 1,41 mm thickness, and 141,2 MHz coupling constant in BVMSW mode by using YIG with 0,58 mm
thickness. |
