Description
Summary:Residential development activities involve many entities from upstream to downstream that integrated and form a supply chain pattern in residential development. Supply chain can improve productivity and efficiency for developer in developing residential building. Hence, supply chain can also arise problems in coordination between entities involved potentially result waste if it is not managed properly. Design of supply chain also can cause increasing in construction cost up to 10 %. The past studied which is interconnected with construction supply chain, can concluded that supply chain pattern in building construction consists of two; general pattern and special pattern.

This research aims to identify the supply chain pattern in residential development and create general pattern and special pattern of the supply chain in residential development. Residential development stage in this research study discuss design stage and construction stage. To identify supply chain in residential development, data collected in relation to scope of works in residential development, stakeholders involved in residential development (suppliers and supplied), various of supplied (goods and/ or services) in residential development. Data collecting through questionaire to developer and residential contractor.

From the 13 (thirteen) supply chain patterns identified from residential development, general patterns and special patterns are formed. General pattern formed based on contractual relationship between developer and other parties in residential development. The general pattern identified in Design stage and Construction stage. General pattern consists of 6 (six) special patterns based on the involvement of developer in procuring goods and/or services in residential development process.
