| Summary: | The development and entreprise of tourism areas is one of the fastest ways to recovery the economy
after the pandemic. This study aims to identify the characteristics of respondents and estimate the
benefit value of Hutan Daerah Kiarapayung in Sumedang. The methods used are descriptive
statistics, multiple linear regression and individual travel cost method. The sample size used in this
study was 100 respondents with purposive sampling technique. The results of the study shows that
the characteristics of visitors of Hutan Daerah Kiarapayung are predominantly male, aged between
15-25 years, working as student, domiciled in Bandung City and come for camping, picnicking,
also for camping and hiking. The Real Carrying Capacity value are 1833 people/day or equal to
670.000 people/year. The estimated of benefits value with the demand side approach in 2022 is
about Rp 806.854.870.000.
