Summary: | Market digitization can be one way to restore the economy especially during
the Covid-19 pandemic for people who have a livelihood as traders. This digital
market is also implemented by Perumda Pasar Jaya Pasar Induk Kramat Jati, East
Jakarta, which is the largest wholesale center for vegetables and fruits in DKI
Jakarta. "Belanja dari Rumah Aja" as a program and the sale of various products in
the marketplace are implemented as a form of market digitalization. The use of
marketplaces and other online shops is also carried out by the traders in Pasar Induk
Kramat Jati. However, various obstacles began to be faced by market organizers
and traders along with the implementation. Fruits and vegetables as perishable
commodities are one of the obstacles to selling it in online markets. In fact, market
digitalization is considered to be able to cut the supply chain if it is done effectively.
This study aims to analyze the impact of market digitalization transformation since
the Covid-19 pandemic towards the supply chain in Pasar Induk Kramat Jati. A
qualitative research method with a series of interviews was conducted with the
market organizers and a number of wholesale market traders to find out the impact
of the digital market on the supply chain of the commodities they sell. The results
show that market digitalization can cut the supply chain of a small number of traders
who still survive to do so. The various obstacles faced can be used as evaluation
material for the government to plan better digital market policies and programs in
the future so that they can continue to advance the economy and improve the
welfare of traders. |
