With its low solubility, effortsare made to increase it by making salt. Salt is made by solvent evaporation method using hydrochloric acid. After the formation of the salt, the characterization of TEL and hydrated TEL HClsalt was carried out by examining morphology, thermal analysis and analysis of the crystal structure. This analysis provides information on the formation of new compounds. After carrying out pharmaceutical profile tests, the formation of TEL-HCl hydrate succeeded in increasing solubility, intrinsic dissolution rate, and improving the flow rate properties of TEL. The aim of this study was to analyze the effect of making salt on the dissolution of TEL tablets which based on the results of the TEL HCl pharmaceutical profile test confirmed better properties of TEL raw materials. TEL and TEL HCl are processed into tablets in the same formula, weight and similar hardness. Based on theresults of the tablet dissolution test, there was an increase in the dissolution of TEL HCl salt in phosphate buffer media pH7.5 by 5 times betterthan the free base formwhich showsthatmakingsalt increases ionization and TEL solubility thereby increasing the dissolution rate of TEL itself. text |
