One of the possible causes is the inappropriate setting of terminal location. In line with this, the research is purposed to analyze optimal location for passenger public transportation in Padang City. The research applied P-Median method. It is one of the optimum model of location developed from Hakimi's theorem using Teitz and Bart Algorithm. So that a location programme which is able to determine terminal location of public transportation is set by using the method. After conducting the research, it is proved that terminal location for passenger public transportation is much influenced by the growth and the distribution of population as well as the additional street net internodes. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The result showed that the operation of Bingkuang Air Pacah regional terminal has not yet been optimal in term of location. Indeed, the optimal location for public transportation is set in 156 nodes. It is precisely located in Kalumbuk area, Kuranji sub district and in the node of By Pass Street. text |
